Quote from Bishop Jones:
“When it is all said and done, there are no secular/worldly accomplishments that have the ability to ‘quickeneth one’s own soul.’ It can only be by God Almighty, through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and by the Holy Ghost, ‘Who proceedeth from the Father and the Son,’ all of which indwells the hearts and souls of all the faithful that ‘all such as rest in Christ, both in this world and in the next, that He would grant a place of refreshing, of light and of peace.’ This is our duty, through our vows, that we ‘may diligently preach’ and to teach salvation through the Holy Scripture for all to come to Christ in faith and belief, and to ‘maintain and set forward, as much as shall lie in you, quietness, love and peace among all men.’
Receive comfort from meditating and praying the Psalms:
‘O tarry thou the Lord’s leisure; * be strong, and he shall comfort thine heart; and put thou thy trust in the Lord.’ (Psalm 27:16)
‘Try me O God, and seek the ground of my heart; * Prove me, and examine my thoughts. Look well if there be any way of wickedness in me; * and lead me in the way everlasting.’ (Psalm 139:23-24)”
